HELP US PRESERVE MEHER BABA’S SACRED ACCIDENT SITE!

An unexpected call on Amartithi Day this year is ushering the Heartland Center into a new era!

The owner of the property adjoining the site of Meher Baba’s 1952 accident outside of Prague reached out with an offer to sell us the property, saying that it was a “blessing” for her to be able to do this for the Heartland Center.

Then on Baba’s birthday, the owner called again to  confirm her intent. And on May 24,  the very day of the anniversary of the accident, we received yet another call letting us know the contract would arrive imminently.  It seems obvious to us that this timing could only have been orchestrated by Meher Baba.

The purchase of this property has been a vision of the Heartland Center from its very inception, and now that vision is becoming a reality.

A “Contract to Purchase” agreement has now been signed, with the closing planned for late June. We are now poised to develop this site into a place for major world pilgrimage.

The six-acre property includes the original house that belonged to Stanley Moucka who gave loving care to Meher Baba and Mehera at the time of the accident.  A draft design concept has been created to include a welcome center,  and most importantly, a dedicated space for pilgrims to sit in remembrance of their Beloved.

The initial fundraising target is $750,000, which will allow for:

  • Purchase of the property

  • Extensive repairs and renovation of the house

  • Demolition and removal of deteriorated outbuildings

  • Provision for entry and parking

  • Landscaping

  • Operational expenses for the first 2 years

Any funds received in excess of this goal will be used for:

  • Further development of the accident site

  • Purchase of additional property as it becomes available

Thanks to the loving service and generosity of countless followers of Meher Baba, the Heartland Center is already a place of pilgrimage. Many of His lovers from throughout the world have stayed at the Center’s Burleson and Morrison Houses to pay homage at the accident site, the sacred place where the Avatar’s blood was shed. Meher Baba said that the accident “was God’s will and it would result in benefit to the whole world.”

And now we all have the opportunity to help acquire and preserve this precious place for future generations and dedicate it to Avatar Meher Baba’s sacrifice for humanity.
